Calling all kids eight years old and younger! On Sunday November 6, at 3 p.m., the Arbor Gallery will feature a table-top puppet show sure to enchant young children and their parents.

Called Tabletop Stories – Little Shows for Little People, the half hour show will tell an original fairy tale, enacted by Mary Vuorela and her cast of stringed playful characters. A question and answer period will follow.

“Thanks to a grant from Champlain Township, we can offer this show free of charge, as part of our community outreach program,” says Sylvie Bouchard, chair of the gallery. “But our space is limited so we strongly recommend that parents reserve ahead for their children and themselves.”

Reservations can be made at [email protected] or by phone at (613) 518-2787.

Those participating can also enjoy the gallery’s current art show The Four Sisters, a collective of oil paintings, watercolours, pastels and papier mâché work created by four talented sisters.

Puppeteer Mary Vuorela has more than 30 years’ experience as a theatre artist, motivator and speaker. She recently conducted a very popular Improv session with students from Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute at the Arbor Gallery. Vuorela runs her own company, ReMarcable Productions, which produces Ben & Joony Puppet shows, as well as Tabletop Stories. Mary has been a proud participant of the Puppets Up! Festival since 2012.
