It was a perfect day for the Prescott County Plowing Match on Saturday, September 10, at Ferme Agriber in St-Isidore-de-Prescott.

After a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 33 plowmen competed in eight classes under sunny skies at the event organized by the Prescott County Plowmen’s Association. The competition included professionals, as well as antique tractor and horse-drawn plows.

Class 2 – Professionals, Drag Plow or Mounted Plow, 12-inch, 3 furrows: Rob McDonald 127 pts

Class 3 – New Contestants: Williams Machabee 111 pts

Class 6 – Antique Tractor: Michel Calande : 144 pts

Class 7 – Antique Hydraulic: Eric Kagi : 123 pts

Class 8 – Horses with Walking Plow: Frederck Machabee : 112 pts

Class 9 – Horses with a Sulky Plow: Glen Gonway : 112 pts

Class 10 – Junior Plowing: Olivier Binette : 109 pts
