On Saturday April 16, 2022, members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliary unit and Rosie the Hawkesbury OPP mascot, held its annual fundraiser for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, at the Asselin Your Independent Grocer in Hawkesbury.
Thanks to the great generosity of citizens, the event was an amazing success, as a total of $3,111.00 was collected in order to support athletes. The Hawkesbury OPP Detachment offered a huge thank you to the public for donating.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest source of revenue for Special Olympics Ontario, which supports more than 25,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities.
