A snowmobile driver is dead after an accident on a trail near Limoges last weekend.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., on January 22, 2022, members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and The Nation Township Fire Department responded to a single snowmobile collision on a snowmobile trail East of Des Benevoles Street in Limoges.

The driver of the snowmobile, a 51-year-old male, from Kemptville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Russell County OPP continue to investigate with the assistance from an OPP Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) and Collision Reconstructionist.
