Gallery is inviting area residents to beat the February blues with ‘On Your Mark’ exhibition of works by young artists

Arbor Gallery doors will reopen on February 10 by featuring young local artists, with a special exhibition titled “On Your Mark – A show of creative arts from the students of Art and Dream Studio.

Organized by well-known local art teacher Stephanie Pete, the show will feature artwork by her young students, including portraiture, painting and illustration. This will give enthusiastic young artists a first chance to exhibit their artwork in a formal gallery setting.

Virtual magic show fundraiser for Valentine

In collaboration with mentalist/magician Lawrence Larouche, Arbor Gallery is inviting everyone to join in a spectacular interactive experience from the comfort of their home on Saturday February 12, at 7 p.m. From large-scale illusion to close up miracles to mind-bending mentalism, ‘Virtually Impossible’ is the ultimate experience in online magic.

“In many ways this show is a more personalized and interactive experience than going out to a theatre,” says Larouche. “For one thing, guests are guaranteed a front row seat! And because they are interacting with the mentalist, with props such as playing cards and coins, they are not just watching, they are in the show.”

Part of the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Arbor Gallery, supporting its mission to bring arts and culture to the community.

Arbor Gallery Cultural Centre is located at the heart of Vankleek Hill, 36 Home Avenue and can be reached at [email protected] . Information about the ‘Virtually Impossible’ show and ‘On Your Mark’ exhibition can be found on the gallery Facebook page.
