Bentley is packing up and leaving Hawkesbury.

An employee from the luggage distributor’s outlet on Cameron Street confirmed to The Review that the store’s last day is February 4. However, if the merchandise in the store is liquidated faster, the store will close sooner.

Five people work at the outlet store, which is connected to the adjacent distribution warehouse. The warehouse is expected to close approximately one month after the outlet store closes. Approximately 25 people work in the warehouse.

The Review contacted Bentley corporate headquarters in Montréal for official confirmation regarding the Hawkesbury store and warehouse, but no response was received by publication time.

Late in 2019, Bentley was under court protection from creditors and announced a restructuring plan that included store closures and layoffs. The company continues to operate luggage stores across Canada, most of which are located in shopping centres.
