Neither snow, wind nor heightened prudence generated by upcoming stricter measures against the COVID Omicron could tarnish the mood at the Arbor Gallery on Saturday afternoon, December 18.

Organizers had planned a Finissage for the Coup de coeur community show to allow participants to mix and mingle, but prudence won the day. However, patrons were happy to say hello and chat a little, entering the gallery to retrieve their item. Four lucky participants went home with one of the beautiful gift baskets provided by Garden Path Homemade Soap, The Review, Vankleek Cottage and Jade Garden.

“The community show was a huge success in our view,” says Sylvie Bouchard from the gallery. “Contributors and visitors were touched by the stories that accompanied each piece, and the variety of artwork created a colourful, eclectic and unique exhibition.”

The end of the show coincided with the last day of the business year. The gallery will be closed for the holidays and will only reopen to the public in February for specific events.

“If COVID allows us, we are planning an exciting year, “Bouchard said. “Our exhibition calendar is already full and we are introducing new and interesting events and activities.”

A program outline will be available in January.
