OPP investigating fatal accident on McGill Street in Hawkesbury

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Hawkesbury are investigating a fatal accident which occurred on McGill Street on Friday evening.

The OPP East Region posted on its Twitter feed that Hawkesbury OPP responded to a single vehicle collision on McGill Street at 8:25 p.m., November 12, in which a female pedestrian was struck by a single vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

McGill Street was closed between Spence Avenue and Country Road 17 for several hours after the accident. The road has since been reopened.
