Le Centre Novas – CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell in partnership with the organizing committee, is inviting all women and young girls from the community to take part in the 14th Prescott and Russell Women’s March – Take Back The Night, which will take place on Wednesday, September 15, at 7:15 p.m.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the walk is being held as a virtual event in 2021. Women in Prescott-Russell are invited to wear orange clothes and walk in their street, their neighborhood, alone or with friends, while respecting public health regulations. If they wish, the walkers are invited to take a photo of themselves during their walk and to publish it on Facebook and/or Instagram, by tagging the Centre Novas – CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell.
This march is an invitation to reclaim public space at night, in order to protest against the violence of which women and girls are too often victims. For more information, visit the following website www.centrenovas.ca.
