Royal Canadian Legion Branch #544 in Lancaster will be hosting a Glengarry Historical Society (GHS) Speaker Series meeting featuring David Rayside on Thursday, September 2.

The 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 119 Military Road in Lancaster, will see Rayside speaking on the topic of ‘Edith Rayside’s Village: Lancaster origins and the making of a nurse legend’. David Rayside is a former professor of politics at the University of Toronto.

Admission for the event is free for Glengarry Historical Society members and $10 for non-members.

Masks are required for the event until seating and social distancing is in effect in accordance with Ontario health authorities.
