Two Argenteuil municipalities are having Fête Nationale/St-Jean-Baptiste day celebrations on June 24 this year.

Not only are these community celebrations of Québec and francophone culture and heritage, but they are also a sign of hope for a return to a more normal life. Some of the events are being held online, but those being held in-person will be conducted according to public health regulations. Some events will take place one or two days before June 24.

Brownsburg-Chatham

The Hommage au Drapeau flag ceremony will take place online at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23. On June 24, online celebrations begin at noon and an online art workshop is also being held. More information is available at brownsburgchatham.ca .

At 7:45 p.m. on June 24, everyone in Brownsburg-Chatham is encouraged to flash the lights on their homes and vehicles to celebrate Fête Nationale.

Grenville-sur-la-Rouge

On June 23, the Hommage au Drapeau flag ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. at Camping des Chutes-de-la-Rouge, which is located at 2260 Route 148.

At 1:45 p.m. on June 24, a celebration will take place at Camping des Chutes-de-la-Rouge. At 2 p.m., the Circuit-nature a la decouverte de notre region bicycle ride will begin at the same location. For information on all of these events, go to https://www.facebook.com/loisirsgslr/ .
