In April, Lachute council adopted a resolution to pressure Transports Québec to repair some of the extremely rough intersections it is responsible for within town limits.

The town has received many complaints about the poor pavement conditions, but it is not responsible for the sections of road. Mayor Carl Péloquin had said the town would be placing signs at the intersections notifying drivers of the rough conditions and to call Transports Québec and complain. The signs are now up.

The rough roads under Québec jurisdiction the town has identified include the intersection of rue Principale (Routes 148 and 148) with avenue de la Providence (Route 327), the intersection of avenue de la Providence with avenue Hamford, and the avenue Bethany/Autoroute 50 interchange and overpass.
