SQ issues 40 offences for chalet gatherings, 20 of them were in Mille-Isles

Social gatherings at rental chalets in violation of COVID-19 restrictions kept Sûreté du Québec (SQ) officers in the Laurentides busy during the previous weekend.

On Saturday, SQ officers carried out several interventions at properties along Route 329 in Mille-Isles, La Conception, and Labelle after receiving reports of the gatherings.

Twenty offences are being issued for the Mille-Isles gatherings.  For the La Conception gatherings, 10 offences will be issued to Ontario residents who were violating the ban on travel into Québec, and 10 offences are being issued for the violations in Labelle.
