Buy a bag of groceries for the Hawkesbury food bank

Normally, volunteers for the Hawkesbury Central Food Bank help bag customer’s groceries at this time of year at Asselin Independent Grocer in return for donations of cash and food for the food bank.  Well, like just about every other community cause, COVID-19 has changed that for this year.  However, store owner Daniel Asselin has come up with a solution.

Until Christmas, customers can purchase bags of groceries for the food bank at a cost of five dollars, $10, or $20.  All they need to do is pay for them at the checkout and then leave them in the food bank box at the store.  Customers can pay for the bags at the checkout, and make additional donations by cash, debit card, and credit card.
