Lachute Christmas Fair cancelled

The MRC d’Argenteuil’s annual Christmas Fair will not be happening this year.

The pandemic has led the regional municipality to cancel the event, which had been scheduled for November 27, 28, and 29 at Laurentian Regional High School and École Polyvalente Lavigne in Lachute.

“Unfortunately, with the increase in the number of confirmed cases to COVID-19 in the past few days in the Laurentians and the alert level that has been raised in the region, as a local government, we cannot encourage any gathering,” said MRC d’Argenteuil Prefect, Scott Pearce.

A few artisans who usually participate in the Christmas Fair will exhibit their works at the Galerie-boutique de la Route des arts, located at 76, rue Clyde, in Lachute. Products from several food producers and processors are available in the online store of the Maude locavore market.
