The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the MRC d’Argenteuil increased over the Easter weekend from 11 cases on April 10 to 14 confirmed cases on Tuesday, April 14.

Across the larger Laurentides administrative region, there were 663 confirmed cases in total on Tuesday.

There were 45 patients in hospital across the Laurentides region and 16 of them were in intensive care.  The region has had two COVID-19 deaths.

In the MRC de Papineau, which includes Montebello, St-André-Avellin, and Papineauville, there were 25 confirmed cases on April 14.

Across Québec on April 14, there were 14,248 confirmed cases of COVID-19.  Out of that number, 936 patients were in hospital and 230 of those were in intensive care.  There have been 435 deaths from COVID-19 in Québec.

The age group in Québec with the highest number of cases is ages 40 to 49.  On Tuesday, this age group accounted for 17.1 per cent of the cases.  The  30 to 39 age group had 15.2 per cent and ages 20 to 29 had 14 per cent.

As of Monday, the under-20 age group accounted for seven per cent of the confirmed cases.  Ages 70 to 79 and higher had 6.8 per cent, age 80 to 89 had 8.8 per cent, and ages 90 and more accounted for 5.5 per cent.
