Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (VCI) Principal Trevor Wheeler says the school is contacting all parents to find out if they need help with a device or with connectivity, during this prolonged period of home schooling, brought about due to efforts to contain coronavirus.

The principal says he wants to make sure that students and their families are healthy and doing well.

“It’s important that we all stay connected during this difficult time. First and foremost, students and parents are encouraged to follow the school’s Facebook page (Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute – UCDSB) and its Instagram page (vciwellness) for updates. It is also important for students and parents to check their email inboxes. Students should use their student email address,” said Wheeler.

The school has done outreach (by email and by Facebook) to its VCI family and more information will be forwarded, as soon as it is received.

Those who do not have Internet access at home should call 613-342-0435 (toll free 1-888-593-5556) to leave call-back information so that the Upper Canada District School Board can contact you to determine your specific needs as part of preparations for online learning in April. #stayhomestaysafe
