Home invasion in Brownsburg-Chatham results in minor injuries to residents

Shortly after 11:30 a.m. on March 19, police officers from the Sûreté du Québec, MRC d’Argenteuil station, were informed that two people were said to have entered a residence on rue des Érables, in Brownsburg-Chatham. Two people inside the home were allegedly attacked with a blunt object by the suspects before they fled in a vehicle. The two victims suffered minor injuries which did not require transportation to a hospital.

Police located a suspicious vehicle on Principale Street in Brownsburg-Chatham. Two people were arrested and then taken to the SQ station to be met by the investigators.

An 18-year-old boy remains in detention and was scheduled to appear the same day at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse where he was expected to face charges of break and enter, assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested and released on a promise to appear. She is scheduled to return to justice at a later date in the Saint-Jérôme courthouse, where she could face charges of conspiracy, break and enter, assault causing bodily harm.

The police are also looking for a 20-year-old young man in connection with this case.

The investigation is continuing to find out the circumstances of the event.
