The April 4 Vankleek Hill Home Routes concert which was to be a performance by Alan Gerber has been cancelled. The concert was to take place at Arbor Gallery Cultural Centre.
Local Home Routes organizers received the following message from the National Home Routes organization, based in Winnipeg.
“In the spirit of being a community focused organization, we must do everything to preserve the health and safety of our community members. We are making an official announcement to cancel the Mar 25-Apr 6 tour.
We will decide in a week or so what to do about the last tour, Apr 23-May 6, 2020 but it will be based on what comes next. Nobody really knows right now.
The recent virus situation has caused a number of our hosts and artists to either cancel their remaining shows with us or question whether or not they will be feasible, wondering if there will even be an audience.
The whole music community is taking a financial hit on this one but health and safety is the priority. If you would like to support any of the artists that are no longer coming, remember most of them have music online for purchase.”
