On January 10, 2019, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a Russell County OPP officer was conducting stationary radar enforcement on Highway 417 near the Casselman exit. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed and obtained a speed reading well above the posted speed limit of 110 km/h.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old St-Isidore man was charged with:

  • Race a motor vehicle – Excessive Speed HTA 172(1)

On January 11, 2019, at approximately 3:45 p.m., a Russell County OPP officer was conducting radar enforcement on County Road 17 in Rockland, Ontario. The officer observed a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed and obtained a speed reading well above the posted speed limit of 70 km/h.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old Rockland man was charged with:

  • Race a motor vehicle – Excessive Speed HTA 172(1)

The motorists received a seven-day driver’s license suspension and their vehicles were also impounded for seven days.
