To The Editor,

While there has been much frustration and complaint about the High Street construction and justifiably so, I feel obliged to compliment the engineers and planners for installing pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. There are few, if any, great dips for the convenience of cars entering the roadway allowing pedestrians of all physical capabilities to walk, or use devices such as walkers and wheelchairs without worry. Now, if only we could make that happen where people actually walk in this town.
