Climate change may be scary but carbon pricing is not. It is the most cost-effective lever to reduce carbon emissions at the scale and speed that is necessary. Here is a link to several short articles, or ‘laser talks’, to help non-experts understand why carbon pricing works and how Canada is doing it.
We can use this information to respond to topics and questions that come up in conversation with co-workers, family, and friends. We can ask the election candidates about it. We can connect the dots between environment, health, jobs, economy and our children’s future.
Citizens Climate Lobby Canada assembled these laser talks in advance of this fall’s election to facilitate discussion on the climate crisis in communities, in our media, and with politicians. Citizens Climate Lobby is a non-partisan grassroots organization that has been building support for carbon pricing in Canada since 2010.
