Join staff at the Champlain Library on Sunday, May 19 from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. during the Heritage May Show Festival in Vankleek Hill to create a “Kindness Garden.” Participants are invited to write inspirational words on painted rocks which will be placed in a window box in front of the library to share with the community.
The idea behind the kindness garden is that one message at the right moment can change someone’s day, their outlook, and perhaps, their whole life. The messages on these thoughtful pebbles take many forms: gratitude, affirmations, encouragement, and offers of hope.
So, while you are at the Heritage May Show, stop by and share your favorite inspirational quote or create your own straight from your heart! This is a wonderful activity for both kids and adults.
