The Nation Municipality will hold a public consultation meeting on Monday, January 7th, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the municipal office in Casselman (958 Route 500 West). Community groups are invited to attend this meeting to provide council members with information on their needs for 2019. Each group will have a chance to give a 15-minute presentation. Each group must reserve a time slot by sending a request to the municipal clerk by email at [email protected] before January 2nd, 2019. The goal is to allow community groups to give ideas and project suggestions to Council members for the 2019 operation and capital budgets.
The Nation Municipality will then hold two budget meetings with Council members. The first one will be to discuss the operation budget and will be held on Monday, January 14th, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The second one will focus on the capital budget and will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
While you are here, we have a small ask.
More people are reading The Review than ever before — across our many platforms. So far, we have not put up a paywall to limit the stories you can read. We want to keep you in the news loop. But advertising revenues are increasingly going to the big two: you know who they are. If you value The Review’s independent, local community journalism, or you value the many ways we support dozens of community organizations in their endeavours, consider supporting our work. It takes time, effort and professional smarts to stay on top of community news and present well-researched, objective news articles on issues which matter to you.
If you read stories on this website, or you have come here from an Instant Article post on Facebook, think about subscribing. It would be a vote of confidence for the work that we do, and for the future well-being of your community.
