Alexandria’s veteran Pro-Stock driver Rock Aubin couldn’t believe his own ears when he was declared feature winner on Friday September 7th at Autodrome RPM Speedway (Qc).
“It was a 50-lap Dirt Series event and with only 1 lap to go I was running when the top cars crashed in front of me” recalls Aubin. “My car sustained some damages but I stayed on the track for the final lap. At the checkered flag I was second, but the leader’s car was found too light at the scale so the victory came to me. That was awesome!”
This Series feature win gives Aubin guarantee starting positions for both Super DIRT Week XLVII, which will be held on October 5-7th in Oswego (N-Y), and for the World Short Track championship held the first weekend of November at the Charlotte (NC) DIRT track.
“It was already in our plans to make it to Charlotte this year, now that we are guaranteed starters we will be there for sure!” concludes the driver of the #4 Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-stock machine.

While you are here, we have a small ask.
More people are reading The Review than ever before — across our many platforms. So far, we have not put up a paywall to limit the stories you can read. We want to keep you in the news loop. But advertising revenues are increasingly going to the big two: you know who they are. If you value The Review’s independent, local community journalism, or you value the many ways we support dozens of community organizations in their endeavours, consider supporting our work. It takes time, effort and professional smarts to stay on top of community news and present well-researched, objective news articles on issues which matter to you.
If you read stories on this website, or you have come here from an Instant Article post on Facebook, think about subscribing. It would be a vote of confidence for the work that we do, and for the future well-being of your community.
