Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a pond with Koi and Goldfish in your back yard? Find out when you meet up with members of the Mountain View Koi Club of Vankleek Hill on August 11, 2018 as they lead you on a self-guided tour of six beautiful ponds.
All six ponds feature colourful Koi fish, called “Living Jewels” Koi Fish. On this tour you will see a pond with 10-foot waterfalls cascading down a 60-foot stream beside a pond of Koi and Goldfish. You will also visit a pond with a double-waterfalls and award-winning Koi and many Hosta plants, a quaint pond with a vine-covered pergola protecting the Koi from the ever-patrolling blue heron, and a fantastic indoor 5000-gallon pond with championship Koi, and a town pond on the edge of a country setting, surrounded by many flower beds and last, but not least, visit a country pond with a beautiful restful gazebo.
Beau’s All-Natural Brewing Company will be the place to stop for lunch as they will be expecting you.
Tickets from this Pond Tour are available by calling Verne Gilkes at 613-677-9182 and are on sale at The Review in Vankleek Hill. Tickets cost $10 per person and the profits from the sales of these tickets will be donated to The Hawkesbury General Hospital for its Palliative Care Unit.
