L’Orignal, July 11, 2018 – The Prescott and Russell Entrepreneurship Centre (PREC) would like to congratulate eight entrepreneurs from the region as they have received a total grant funding of $40,000 through the Starter Company Plus program initiative.

Through the Starter Company Plus program, these eight entrepreneurs have received one-on-one guidance from the Entrepreneurial Lifestyle Academy mentors and the Prescott and Russell Entrepreneurship Centre’s Project Officer, have participated in business workshops, seminars and networking events with topics such as writing a business plan, marketing & social media campaigns, budgeting and making their elevator pitch.

The eight entrepreneurs who received a grant funding of $5,000 each for the 2018 Starter Company Plus program are:

“These pleasant and constructive exchange sessions allowed entrepreneurs in the Starter Company Plus program to take a step back and quickly make progress both personally and professionally. The workshops really stimulated their creativity!”, says Benoit Brunette, the Project Officer of the PREC.

“Not only did these entrepreneurs receive sound advice from Antoine Carrière & Marc-André Clément, but they also presented in front of a “Dragon’s Den” board in order to obtain the $5,000 grant. This financial assistance, in the form of a grant funding, will help with several expenses, including equipment purchases, inventory purchases, marketing expenses, registration and training fees and miscellaneous entrepreneurial expenses”
