St. Jude Catholic School will be hosting its 10th annual cake auction on Thursday, May 17th. Once again, money raised will be going to CHEO.
Cakes are all donated by families from the school. This year we have many local businesses which will be hosting a cake for community members to bid on. The auction for these cakes will be from 10 am to 2 pm. At that time, the highest bidder will be called to pick up their cake from St Jude Catholic school.
Please visit these local businesses in Vankleek Hill to bid on your own cake. The Pink Bow Te, The Review, Low’s Realty offices and Vankleek Hill Cottage. Pop into Liner Pro on Hwy 34, Le Petit Pain in Hawkesbury and The Esso Gas Station on Hwy 34 to place your bids. All cakes will be featured that morning on the St. Jude Catholic School Facebook page and the local businesses’ Facebook pages.
Please help the students raise more money this year for this worthwhile charity. Helping others is a piece of cake!
While you are here, we have a small ask.
More people are reading The Review than ever before — across our many platforms. So far, we have not put up a paywall to limit the stories you can read. We want to keep you in the news loop. But advertising revenues are increasingly going to the big two: you know who they are. If you value The Review’s independent, local community journalism, or you value the many ways we support dozens of community organizations in their endeavours, consider supporting our work. It takes time, effort and professional smarts to stay on top of community news and present well-researched, objective news articles on issues which matter to you.
If you read stories on this website, or you have come here from an Instant Article post on Facebook, think about subscribing. It would be a vote of confidence for the work that we do, and for the future well-being of your community.
