Mr. Guy Desforges, councillor of district 5 for the City of Lachute, passed away on February 14, 2018, after struggling with an aggressive cancer. He was 63.
Mr. Desforges has sat on the city council since 2005. He had begun his fourth term on October 6, 2017.
The City of Lachute will be lowering its flags at half-mast in honour of all his years of service until the funeral is held.
Mr. Desforges, leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Guylaine Cyr. He had two sons, Carl and Kevin (Annabelle Almeida) and his wife (their mother), whom he leaves to mourn, in addition to a grand-daughter, Béatrice, his three brothers, Richard (Chantal Ladouceur), Daniel (Joanne Desforges) et Marc (Josée Gagné), and many other family members and friends.
The funeral service takes place on Saturday, February 24 at 11 a.m. at Église Ste-Anastasie, 174, ave Bethany, Lachute. Members of the family will be present at the church from 10:30 a.m. to greet friends and family. At the request of the family, your expressions of sympathy can be translated into a donation in his memory to the Argenteuil Hospital Foundation, 145, ave de la Providence, Lachute.
