This past Saturday was the Cougars’ last game before the Christmas break. The Bytown Royals came to town trying to find their second win of the season. Ryan Allen scored with just 14 seconds left in the first period to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead. Bytown finally was able to get two goals past netminder Dominik Turcotte but the Cougars kept pressing. Nikolas Ayotte scored and Ryan Allen potted two more goals for a hat-trick. The Royals scored once more at the beginning of the third period but were unable to shut down Ryan Allen who scored twice more for a total of five goals.

Player points for the games were as follows: Ryan Allen with five goals, Nikolas Ayotte with one goal and three assists, Tyler Druce with three assists, Riley Sauve with two assists and Mark-Antoine Doyon, Trystan Lavoie and Kevin Doyle each picked up a single helper.

To celebrate the victory the team was treated to pizza graciously donated by Pizza Pizza of Hawkesbury and finally Alain Lavoie was the big winner of the Cougars’ December draw.

The Cougars’ next home game will be January 6, 2018 when the South Grenville Rangers come to town.
