The Hawkesbury OPP have initiated an increase in patrols and enforcement on County Road 17 between Tupper and McGill Streets, police say.
“The increased enforcement initiative was in response to concerns raised by members of the community, about drivers not obeying the applicable speed at the identified location, since the municipality has reduced the speed limit from 70 km/h to 50 km/h,” said the OPP in a press release on Tuesday, March 28.
The police say the initiative will last four weeks and focus on enforcing speed limits.
