40-year old borrows car without permission, crashes it

A 40-year-old man remains in serious, but non-life threatening condition following a car crash that took place near Oasis Golf Course, in Brownsburg-Chatham.

Police say that the man was driving recklessly on October 5, at around 9 p.m., when he crashed the vehicle he was driving on Highway 327, near Rue Binet, in Brownsburg-Chatham. The vehicle did not belong to the driver and police say that he had not received permission to borrow the car.

The man was removed from the scene by ambulance and he was transported to hospital in Saint-Jérôme.

“The suspect will be interviewed by police as soon as he is able. He could face charges of reckless driving and taking a vehicle without consent,” said Sûréte du Quebec spokesperson Sergeant Marc Tessier.
