“Just for fun” antique day at Allensite Farms

Allensite farms is holding a “just for fun” Antique Tractor day on Saturday, September 3. Organizer John Allen said unlike a plowing match, it won’t be a competition, just a fun social event for antique tractor and plow enthusiasts. The machines must be at least 40 years old, and Allen said he expects between 30 and 35 participants. The event is unique in the area, and so far the response has exceeded his expectations, said Allen. The day begins at 10 a.m. at 2273 Allen Road and wraps up at 4 p.m. Proceeds from a BBQ lunch will be donated to the 4H calf club.
