The May Show Festival had a successful 40-year anniversary in Vankleek Hill on Sunday, May 19. The annual art, food, and music event began in 1984 as a way of showcasing the work of local artists. This year, the warm, sunny weather was perfect and by noon on Sunday, Main Street was filled with people enjoying the show’s vendors and entertainment. The May Show Festival was originally organized by the late Phil Arber and continues to be organized by Excellent Events, the business he started, under the leadership of his partner Samme Putzel.
