SUMMARY:Beau's 5K for Ovarian Cancer Canada
DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Beau’s 5K for Ovarian Cancer Canada takes place on Saturday\, July 8th – rain or shine!\nThe Beau’s 5K is back and we can’t wait to see you at the starting line and raise a glass at the finish line in support of all those affected by ovarian cancer. Together we’re improving outcomes and making change happen! \nRegistrationEntry fee is a $40 tax-deductible donation to Ovarian Cancer Canada for adults\, and a $25 tax-deductible donation for children (12 and under). Virtual participants are also welcome for a registration fee of a $35 tax-deductible donation. Registering online early is strongly encouraged\, so you have plenty of time to raise funds from friends and family. If you are running with your workplace or in honour of a friend or family member\, you can register and fundraise as a team! There is strength in numbers and we are calling on everyone in the community to join us. \nThe fun stuff\nRace kits can be picked up from the brewery beginning Friday\, July 7\, after 3 pm or in-person on race day. \nYour race kit contains: \n\n\n1 2023 Beau’s 5K bamboo coaster set souvenir (limited to the first 250 adult registrants)\n1 fun frisbee for child participants (12 & under) while supplies last\n1 Runners bib\n12 oz glass or can of Beau’s Lug Tread *in-person participants\n1 butterfly temporary tattoo\n1 teal ribbon\n\nThere is a group start at 10am for all distances\, runners will be seeded ahead of walkers. Walkers are welcome to start out as early as 9:30am if they need extra time. The road reopens at 12:30pm. Please note this is a fun run on a gravel road\, our race is not chip-timed and there are no awards for fastest finishers. SUMMARY:Vankleek Hill Myeloma Canada Ride
DESCRIPTION:Vowing to honour the legacy of her late husband\, Denyse along with her two sons\, are gearing up to cycle in the Vankleek Hill Myeloma Canada Ride: Bike to Beat Myeloma. The Ride takes place June 11\, 2023\, at Beau’s Brewery\, at 10 a.m.\, and helps to raise myeloma awareness and critical funds for a cure. Denyse is hopeful that a cure will be found so that others don’t experience the same suffering her husband and family endured. \n\n\n\nThe Myeloma Canada Ride will take place in seven Canadian locations this spring: Halifax Nova Scotia\, Niagara Region Ontario\, Red Deer County Alberta\, Sudbury Ontario\, St. John’s Newfoundland\, Richmond British Columbia\, and Vankleek Hill Ontario. A virtual option is also available for those who are unable to participate in one of the in-person events\, or who wish to create their own cycling challenge. Beau’s will stay open till 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday\, with regular hours and live music Sunday\, January 29\, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. \n\n\n\nThere will still be options to buy beer while the Taproom is closed. Beau’s customers can pre-order beer online at shop.beaus.ca for curbside pick-up in the brewery parking lot\, from Monday through Friday\, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe Dunrobin Distilleries store will also be open for shopping during those hours. Home delivery from shop.beaus.ca will also continue to operate during the renovations. \n\n\n\nThe set timeline is to three to four weeks to complete the renovations.
