It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of John Muir of Curran, formerly of Riceville, Ontario, on Thursday, July 5, 2018, in his 97th year. He is predeceased by Vivian, his wife of 71 years, who passed away on April 19, 2018. He leaves behind his daughters Jan (Fern) and Kathy (late Bob). He is survived by his only sister Phyllis Terry of Dalkeith. Predeceased by sisters Eileen Bradley and Guelda Conway and his brothers Chester and Billy Muir. He also leaves two sisters-in-law Ella Muir (late Billy) and Dorothy McCormick. He will be missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service to be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Luc’s Church, Curran, Ontario, followed by John and Vivian’s burials at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fournier, Ontario. The family would like to extend an invitation to family and friends to meet them at the church before the funeral from 1 p.m.
