On Saturday, January 1st, 2022, Maurice Malette of Lefaivre, Ontario, passed away peacefully, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Lina Racine. Son of the late Ernest Malette and the late Alma Dauth. Loving father of Germain (Emily Roy), Yves (Guylaine Blondin), Alain (Line Meilleur) and Richard (Roanne Racine). Cherished grandfather of the late Dominique, Julie (Jamie Boyd) and Lucie Malette, Catherine and Olivier Carrière, late Maxime and Vincent Malette, Alexandre, Caroline, Mikael Malette and great-grandfather of Coralie, Jayde, Rosalie and Chloé. Also survived by two sisters and three brothers, Raymonde (Eugene Russell), Lucille (Robert Jolicoeur), Denis (Lucille Ouimet) and Michel Malette, Marcel Surprenant (Patricia Byers); one sister-in-law Noëlla Racine (late Rémi Bercier); one brother-in-law Roger Racine (Alma Gour), many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father’s second wife Irène Groulx Surprenant; one brother Rolland Surprenant (late Yollande Quesnel); one sister-in-law Annette Racine (late André Fredette); three brothers-in-law, Wilfrid (late Jeannine Gour), Georges (Denise Lamarche) and Léo Racine (late Léona Fontaine).
Due to the current circumstances, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held at St-Thomas Church, Lefaivre. Spring interment parish cemetery.
