This note of thanks goes to each and every one of you who attended the Service of Remembrance at the Kirk Hill United Church to celebrate the life of Lauchlin Edwin ‘Ed’ MacDonald. Your presence was very much appreciated. The service, led by the Reverend P. Dietrich, the wonderful music played by Ian R. MacLeod and his daughter Ashley, the food prepared by the ‘Durands’, and the thoughtfulness of all in attendance made June 24th, 2023 a very special day. The donations to the OSPCA and sympathy cards continue to fill the mailbox. The love, kindness and support shown to me during this sad time will always be remembered. Born and raised in Baddeck, Cape Breton, Ed truly enjoyed his many summers in Glengarry.
