Catherine (Kay) Forbes (nee Calvank)
Motherhood: All love begins and ends there – Robert Browning
We would like to thank family and friends for their kind words and thoughts before and after the passing of our dear mother, Catherine Forbes. All donations, remembrance trees, wishes of condolences and sympathies are truly appreciated. We are truly touched by the huge amount of support we received before, during and after the celebration of life of an amazing mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, friend and remarkable person our sweet mom was. We may have tested our mother’s resolution over time as kids but she held true to her values and instilled them in us. Thank you, mom. She is truly missed and will never be forgotten. Special thank you to Mark and Lisa Henderson along with Cheryl-Ann Courtemanche for your unbelievable tenderness and kindness. You have helped us every step of the way and are continuing to help us through this difficult time in our lives. To cousin Jimmy, thank you for opening and closing the funeral service with the beautiful sound from your bagpipes. Mom always loved the sound of the bagpipes. I think she was humming while you were playing. To Carol Willem-Martin for conducting a beautiful and light-hearted ceremony. That was exactly how mom would have wanted it. To Steve Cordani for reading the eulogy and bringing your sincere support during the service. Mom always enjoyed her time at the “camp” with Karen, Mario and the camp neighbours. To Marsha, Hunter and Amanda Howes for serving a great lunch after the ceremony. The food was definitely up to mom’s standards. To Ginette Sauve for the tasty desserts after the ceremony. You hit mom’s sweet tooth right on. To anyone we may have missed we thank you. You all made this very memorable and mom would have called it a “touchdown!”
Thank you all.
Kevin, Ian & Abir, Karen & Mario and grandchildren
