Duffy, Catherine Theresa (nee Allison)

In Hamilton on Jan. 6, 2021, Catherine died from complications caused by kidney disease. She is survived by her five sons and their spouses: Kevin and Martha, Hugh, Andrew and Anne, Peter and Huyen, James and Karen, and by her eight grandchildren and one great grandson. She will be missed by her brother, John Allison, in Hawkesbury. Predeceased by her husband, Paul, in 2004, and her grandson, Brennan, in 2007, along with her parents, Andrew Allison and Margaret Brannen, and her siblings, Bernard, Father Andrew Allison O.M.I., and Pauline Moran. Born on a farm near the village of St.-Eugene, Catherine attended a one-room school house, and earned scholarships to Carleton University and the University of Lyon. She taught high school in Drayton, Ontario and Stoney Creek, where she met her future husband. Funeral and burial have taken place in Hamilton. Condolences at www.dermodys.com
