The Corcoran family is very sad to announce the passing of Elsie, our matriarch, after a brief illness on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the age of 83. Elsie is survived by her sons, Ross and Ryan and her daughters, Kim (Charlotte) and Kerry (Kevin). She was also the loving grandmother to Justin, Jordan, Jamie, Joshua, Christopher and Joey. Elsie and her business partner, Mary Hatz, operated the very successful Mary’s Country Kitchen on Main Street, Vankleek Hill for approximately 10 years. Elsie’s specialties, thanks to her British background were the savoury steak and kidney pies and Cornish pasties. She was also an avid bridge player and enjoyed her Thursday games at the Vankleek Hill Curling Club. There will be no visitation or service, as the family will be holding private celebrations of life.
