SUMMARY:Meet author Susan McAlpine
DESCRIPTION:Meet author Susan McAlpine\nSaturday\, September 25\, 2021\, 10 am to 2 pm\nat The Review\, 76 Main St.\, Vankleek Hill \nSusan realized that when she was growing up\, times had been very hard for her family\nwho came to Canada from Britain after World War II. As an adult\, she admired how\nher mother had succeeded in serving delicious meals and treats on a very meager\nbudget. Working with an elderly client\, she learned that such economy was widespread\nin that age group\, and was fortunate that these clients shared many of their timetested\nrecipes with her. Read stories and the wonderful recipes shared in this book and\ncalendar\, with a healthy serving of local history\, too! \nTheReview We love working with local authors!
