DESCRIPTION:The Glengarry Pioneer Museum is bringing Ottawa’s “A Company of Fools” to Dunvegan to perform one of William Shakespeare’s most popular plays\, Hamlet. \n\n\n\nThis Shakespeare-in-the-park theatre company is known for their colourful\, family-friendly versions of Shakespeare’s work. There will be puppets\, there will be swordfights\, and there might even be a scary ghost! If you cannot remember the story of Hamlet\, that’s no problem. This will be an entertaining 90-minute show to blast you back to your high school English class – with more excitement and theatrical deaths than you likely remember! Whether you are a Shakespeare nerd or this is your first foray with the Bard since high school\, this foolish take on Hamlet has something for everyone. \n\n\n\nAudience members are encouraged to come early – the gates open at 5:30 p.m.\, and bring your favourite lawn chair. Refreshments and homemade desserts will be available for sale. Picnic dinners will also be available by reservation through the museum’s website www.glengarrypioneermuseum.ca. Tour the historic buildings\, check out the museum’s gift shop and enjoy the show!

DESCRIPTION:It’s been 50 years since the first graduating class to complete all of their secondary grades graduated from Laurentian Regional High School (LRHS) in Lachute\, and efforts are underway to organize a reunion. \n\n\n\nThe reunion is being planned for August 5\, 2023. It will be held at Cabane à Sucre du Coteau in St-André-d’Argenteuil and will begin at 2 p.m. The cost is $50 per person. \n\n\n\nRight now\, the reunion organizers are trying to get as many people interested as possible. They’re going through old yearbooks looking up names and searching around on social media. A Facebook group has been created for graduates to join so they can find out the full details of the reunion and connect with other graduates. Each course will be explained\, allowing you to learn about the dish’s journey. DJ Jerico will provide an upbeat vibe\, and a bar will have drinks for purchase.
