Alexandria Moulding sold to American company

Big news for Alexandria Moulding

“We are very excited to be partnering with U.S. Lumber as the next stage of Alexandria Moulding’s growth,” said Alexandria Moulding president Andre Cholette.  Becoming a part of the American company will allow Alexandria Moulding to enhance its product service offerings and continue to provide growth opportunities for customers, suppliers and employees, says Cholette.

In a joint press release, the two companies stated that Alexandria Moulding will continue to be led by its current management team.  Staffing and management will not be affected at the Alexandria plant.

Alexandria Moulding’s humble beginnings were as a hardware store in 1943.  Over the years the founder incorporated major innovations and developed Alexandria Moulding into a major manufacturer and distributor of mouldings.  Until now, it was a third-generation, family-owned and operated enterprise.

Alexandria Moulding has more than 800 employees, and five domestic Mega Centres that look after its manufacturing and distribution requirements.  They ship an average of 85-90 truckloads of finished mouldings throughout North America each week and export container loads to Europe, Asia, and South America.

This new partnership is expected to further its commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and quality service to all their customers.
