Journey to Justice donated to Champlain Library

Michelle Landriault makes a donation to Champlain Library's CEO Cynthia Martin

On behalf of the Ontario Courthouse Libraries Association, Michelle Landriault (l) presented Cynthia Martin, Head Librarian for Champlain Township Library, with the book Journey to Justice : A practical guide to effectively representing yourself in court. Landriault is the librarian for the Prescott & Russell Law Association at the L’Orignal Courthouse. She explained that the book educates clients to prepare for their civil cases in family court and small claims court. “So much valuable time and money is wasted when clients fail to prepare for meetings with their legal representative. The author is a lawyer who outlines in plain language how clients can organize and coordinate their evidence. Whether the client choice is self-representation, or having a legal rep – the message remains – work at being prepared to tell your story fully and have better results.” Martin said the book is a welcome addition to the collection at Champlain Library, 94 Main Street East, Vankleek Hill.
