Plantagenet’s Festival de la Bine will be returning for an eighth edition from September 14 to 16 at the École secondaire catholique de Plantagenet.

Beginning on Friday night, the festival will host musical group La Chicane and Franco-Ontarian singer Mélissa Ouimet following a dinner of beans and macaroni. On Saturday, for the first time, the festival will welcome the Canadian strongman championships as well as Eastern Ontario;s arm wrestling championship. Children’s magician Jacques Pétard will also be on the scene. Comedian Réal Béland will take centre stage Saturday night. Then, on Sunday, La ferme à Jojo will present music and stories for children.

New this year is a zipline installed at 600 feet, with a fee of $10. Additionally, the Combat des chefs will pit local chefs together in friendly competition.
