Daniel Gatien is Hawkesbury’s new CAO

It’s finally official: the Town of Hawkesbury has hired its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

The position belongs to Daniel Gatien, a veteran in the world of municipal administration and politics.

Gatien has more than 30 years of experience under his belt, having worked for Clarence-Rockland as CAO for over a decade, for the Township of Russell as Economic Development Director for over five years and was previously in Casselman as CAO.

Gatien also sits on the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital (HGH) as Treasurer.

“This means we’re getting both a CAO and an Economic Development Director. I’m very happy about it,” said Hawkesbury Mayor Jeanne Charlebois.

Gatien will be joining the municipal administration as of June 18, 2018.

Hawkesbury has also recently hired a new Human Resources Director, Dominique Dussault, who joined the administration on May 14, 2018. Dussault previously held the title of Head of Human Resources at Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’est ontarien (CSDCEO).
