On Sunday, May 13, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Maison Tucker House welcomes the community to learn about a collective kitchen model being developed by Tucker House. Community members are invited to learn more about the collective kitchen plan, enjoy samples of healthy, tasty food, and give their input about how a collective kitchen can best serve the community.
Brief formal remarks will be given at 2:30 p.m, recognizing the Ontario Trillium Foundation for funding the collective kitchen research and planning work. Nathalie Mathieu, Tucker House Community and Collective Kitchen Coordinator, will speak about the idea behind the project and what it means for the community.
This Mother’s Day open house will also include children’s activities, seed sales, and opportunities to tour the historic Tucker mansion, explore the nature trails and forest learning areas, and learn more about the educational programs on-site.
