The Nation Mayor François St. Amour is now the warden-elect for the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. On December 20, he’ll be taking over the job from Champlain Mayor Gary Barton.
As reported in the Tribune-Express, St. Amour was proposed as next warden by Mayors Guy Desjardins of Clarence-Rockland and Pierre Leroux of Russell.
St. Amour has previously served in the position in 2012. Based on previous UCPR council discussions, St. Amour’s may be that last term without the position of deputy warden.
