Owner of St-Eugène farm dies in fire

Farm owner Bertrand Villeneuve has been confirmed dead in a fire that broke out at 3V Farms last week in St-Eugène, near the border of Ontario and Québec. Villeneuve’s body was found in the evening.

There is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire. The OPP said it doesn’t suspect foul play.

Dominic Normand, fire chief for East Hawkesbury, said, at this point in the investigation, they “wouldn’t have any new details for a few months.”
